Hey Guys,

Well it’s that time of year again when the SYG brain trust is busy churning away and getting excited about the SYG 2012!

You are now able to sign up for “pre-registration” for this year’s event. You can do this at http://www.sygrego.com/signup. Signing up does not mean you have to come but it does mean you will be on our email and mail out lists so that you will be notified of all the important and exciting stuff & will receive a rego pack once they are compiled. Massive thanks to those who have already pre-registered!

Once again we will be holding SYG Launches to help you build the excitement for your team. We currently have two launches locked in:

Ballarat – York Street COC, 23^rd March, 7pm-10pm
East – One Community Church, 30^th March, 7pm-10pm
Coastal – Southern Community COC, 31^stMarch, 7pm – 10pm

The launches include all the best bits of SYG (minus the mud) in one night, a guest speaker, the worship band, inflatables, DJ & Cafe, local bands, beep test, Wii sports, give-aways, and heaps more.

In other exciting news! This year we are adding an Art & Short Film competition to the SYG weekend. Please let your youth/young adults know about it so they have time to get their creative juices pumping. We would love to see this section grow in the years to come.

State Youth Games 2012 will be held June 8-11 at Lardner Park, Warragul.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in SYG 2011 and contributed to making it such a fantastic event. The weather was amazing and the sportsmanship and spirit demonstrated across the weekend was incredible. A big congratulations to Syndal Baptist who one overall and one2one Ballarat who took home the Spirit award. Full results are available to group coordinators for their church.

We are really looking forward to hearing from this years speaker Mike Pilavachi.

Mike Pilavachi is the founder of Soul Survivor, running summer conferences and events to empower young people all over the world. It is an international ministry that seeks to reach, disciple, and equip young people to make a difference in their generation. Author and speaker, Mike is also the Senior Pastor of Soul Survivor Church in Watford. He loves his garden and grape vines, supports Manchester United and spends his spare time with his family and friends
